About Us
RENEW HEARTS - RESTORE RELATIONSHIPS - REBUILD LIVES
Hope and Healing at Hillenglade (HHH) is a 501(c)3 Non-profit Charitable Organization founded in 2010 that has served over 4,000 Active Military, Veterans, First Responders and their families free-of-charge with Equine-Assisted Programs & Events. HHH is a safe and confidential environment to be lifted up -located on our private farm 15 minutes from downtown Nashville.
The HHH Mission continues to address those particularly suffering from PTSD, suicidal ideation, war-related traumas, as well as other life-threatening issues. We realize PTSD is not limited to Military Service, and to that end, we now offer "for-profit" Equine-Assisted Services to the general public and other private institutions upon request. Visit www.nashvillecountrysidegetaways.com or our Booking Requests page for more information.
Our HHH Team includes professional leadership, HHH Certified Horse Handlers, and a caring group of volunteers who help host on the farm while doting-on our rescued and rehabilitated animals. Equine-Assisted Therapy has been proven for years to successfully help individuals and families beyond the standard “medical” approach. We at Hillenglade have proven that our contributions are critical in addressing the impact of war and trauma on the lives of our Heroes and their families (See our Testimonies Page for more). Also, we continue to diligently work to remove the stigma surrounding “getting help” for our Heroes by maintaining confidentiality... Providing a “safe place” is essential for the success in transforming lives and renewing hope!
Beyond our Warriors, HHH acts as a sanctuary for our four-legged team! Through the rescue and rehabilitation of abused and neglected horses and donkeys, HHH improves the quality of life and health of our faithful animals who make HHH's work possible... FYI: Each animal has a life-long sponsorship and commitment to live-out their days on the farm - never to return to their former abuse!
HHH relies completely on the generous donations of private individuals, grants and corporate sponsorships to continue it's critical mission to improve the lives of our brave Warriors and their loved ones. Contact us today to find out how you can partner with us by donating, volunteering, lifting us up in prayer, as well as spreading the word about what we do here at Hope & Healing at Hillenglade!

Hope and Healing at Hillenglade proudly offers free-of-charge individual and/or group Equine-Assisted Events, Programs, Sessions and Retreats (now including art and music therapy) for our Active Duty Military, Veterans, First Responders and their families. HHH is a safe place to heal hearts, rebuild lives and restore relationships through supervised, professional, therapeutic sessions with our rescued horses and donkeys.
Our programs specifically address the ravages of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder of our Nation's Heroes to slow the rising rates of suicide, divorce, incarceration and homelessness...To help support our non-profit endeavors, HHH offers ("for-profit") individual or group Equine Sessions, retreats and programs. Please remember, 100% of the cost for private sessions, stays, and events go directly to help support our 501(c)3 mission!

A Message from our Founder - Jen

As we all know, especially since Covid, stress-related issues are running rampant among the general population. The truth is, very few in the private sector have side-stepped the ongoing destructive aspects of isolation, depression, loss, confusion, anger, failing communication skills and TRUST.
Here at HHH's "for-profit side," we are integrating our Equine-Assisted Healing Programs with music, film, and art therapies along with Biblically-based Resources that address everything from post-abortive healing, sexual abuse, bullying - to corporate team-building as well as hosting memorable celebrations and weddings, etc.
Exhibited by our program’s graduates through the years, our HHH Curriculum exponentially moves those interested in being armed with the tools necessary to succeed in life... Yes, it’s time to tackle core issues all too often allowed to hold us back from our BEST - not only for ourselves, but for our loved-ones as well.
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is NOT exclusive to Military and First Responders. At such a time as this, most of us are grappling with some personal and pragmatic questions, while trying to establish solid footing and morals in light of society's "New Normal."
I need to be here - How about you?
WELCOME TO HILLENGLADE!!!
xoxo Grace and Peace, Jen
