THE RENEWAL CENTER

AT HOPE AND HEALING AT HILLENGLADE

HOPE and HEALING at HILLENGLADE (HHH), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization, is dedicated to serving our brave Military men and women, Veterans, First Responders and their families through HHH Equine-Assisted Programs that support healing from post-traumatic stress and related challenges. We also offer Certification and host Glitter Girls Gatherings to foster connection, growth and community.

RENEW HEARTS - RESTORE RELATIONSHIPS - REBUILD LIVES

Our Mission

Since 2010, HHH has served thousands through free Equine-Assisted Programs that offer Active Duty Service Members, Veterans, First Responders and their families a peaceful retreat to experience the healing power of horses. We also offer these same services to the public as paid sessions, with all proceeds directly supporting those who served.

Transforming Lives: HOPE and HEALING at HILLENGLADE Empowers Heroes

As an outreach of Jennifer O’Neill Ministries, Inc. (established in 2004), the HHH Renewal Center is a peaceful refuge just fifteen minutes northwest of Downtown Nashville. While our mission centers on empowering heroes—Veterans, Active Duty Service Members, First Responders and their families—we also welcome individuals from all walks of life seeking renewal after trauma. Through HHH Equine-Assisted Programs, participants reconnect, rebuild and rediscover emotional resilience.

"It was an honor to host 30 family members from the Gary Sinise Foundation. During their visit, they toured the farm, participated in a horse session, and even painted our donkeys! A heartfelt thank you to the families of our Vietnam Veteran heroes—your loved ones served, and you have sacrificed alongside them."

The History of Healing Heroes Through Horses

This therapeutic approach has a surprisingly long history, stretching past thousands of years to the writings of Hippocrates in 450 BC. More formal development of Equine-Assisted Therapy, as we know it today, began in the 1940s in Europe to aid military members during WWII and finally made its way to America in the 1960s. Equine-Assisted Therapy has been proven to effectively reduce symptoms in individuals suffering with mental, physical, and emotional challenges including PTSD. According to the National Institutes of Health, participants in Equine-Assisted Programs have reported reduced symptoms of anxiety and depression, elevated self-esteem and self-awareness, improved daily functioning, better communication and trust, and an overall increase in well-being.

A Message from our Founder - Jennifer O’Neill

As we all know, especially since Covid, stress-related issues are running rampant among the general population. The truth is, very few in the private sector have side-stepped the on-going destructive aspects of isolation, depression, loss, confusion, anger, failing communication skills and TRUST. Exhibited by our Program’s successes over the years, our HHH Certified Curriculum has armed our graduates with the tools necessary to succeed in all aspects of life… It’s time to tackle core issues that hold us back from achieving our BEST – not only for ourselves, but for our loved ones as well. Post-Traumatic Stress is NOT exclusive to Military and First Responders. At such a time as this, most of us are grappling with some personal and/or pragmatic questions, while trying to establish solid footing and morals in a light of society’s “New Normal.”

WE CAN HELP!

WELCOME TO HILLENGLADE!!!

God Bless!
